Preliminary remark 1: The classification has been changed to a purely numerical classification for retroconversion. The classification in the table of contents differs from the classification in the units of registration. The classification has been adopted within the index part units of description. Since the stock has received comparatively little attention in research so far, the old signatures have not been included. It may be necessary to look up the old finding aid book, which is part of the inventory. 2) The former item 19 (old Findbuch, p.359ff.): Courts in Düsseldorf (Kassationshof, Appellationshof, Kriminalgerichtshof, Kreisgericht (Tribunal 1. Instanz), Notariatskammern and Friedensgericht Ratingen) - except for one file of the Kreisgericht Düsseldorf (see under 16.1.) - were transferred to the Zweigarchiv Kalkum (old Findbuch, note p.1 by Mrs. Dr. Joester of 28.8. 1974). 3. there is as unlisted remainder a cardboard box at the end of storage of the inventory ("misdirected" from files of the Generalgouvernement). They must be placed elsewhere or a separate title must be created. A folder is pre-identified.
