The largest part of the documents contains federal affairs of the German Reich, in which the Württemberg envoy was involved as an authorized representative of the Bundesrat. Particularly noteworthy are documents on the regulation of tax legislation between the German Reich and the federal states, on the war economy during the First World War, but also on economic supply in the post-war period. Particularly in the field of food supply, there is a substitute tradition for the documents of the Württemberg Ministry of Food destroyed in the Second World War.
