Bock (Kiel) to Bracker expresses his disappointment that the tighter board is asking him to drop out of his studies in Kiel. He describes his view of things. He had always wanted to return to Africa, but the board had said that a man with Bock's stricken health would never be sent to Africa. The board said it should get to 'the studies' quickly or it would retire early. By 'studies' Bock understood a study and not the Abitur. Why did the board support him financially for a few months when he did not agree with Bock's stay in Kiel? Bock had assumed that he did not need a high school diploma and would soon be sent back to Africa with another missionary society.

[Personnel File Walter Bock] Bock (Kiel) to Bracker. Bock defends himself against the accusations of the board regarding his studies in Kiel. 'My heart's desire points to Africa. But if the board insists on not sending me out again, and if there is no place for me in the home mission work, I have to take over a church.' Excuse me for applying for a study grant. Bock withdraws this motion.
