          Im Landeskirchlichen Archiv Wolfenbüttel sind nur vereinzelte Unterlagen zur Thematik direkt, das heißt über eine Titelrecherche, zu finden. In erster Linie hat das wohl damit zu tun, dass es in der kleinen braunschweigischen Landeskirche kein eigenes Missionswerk gab, sondern nur einzelne Pfarrer, die als Missionare in Verbindung mit der Leipziger Mission in den Kolonialen wirkten. Aus diesem Zusammenhang sind nur wenige Unterlagen, vor allem mit Broschürencharakter, oder aber Spendenaufrufe enthalten. Es ist nicht auszuschließen, dass in Archivalien, die eigentlich in anderem Zusammenhang entstanden sind, ebenfalls Erwähnungen der genannten Thematik zu finden sind. Als weiteren thematischen Bezug neben der Missionstätigkeit und der damit verbundenen Einwerbung von Spenden (diakonischer Bezug) ist noch das "Kriegergedenken" für gefallene Soldaten in den Kolonialgebieten in den Akten aufgetaucht.
