            • Audio* description: Inscription: Wirz New Guinea, therefore partly confused with New Guinea I (1927). At EB Schneider: Wirz Südsee Brit. South N.G. and Holl. Süd N.G. The collection consists of two parts, 19 W. from the British North New Guinea, 17 W. from the Dutch South New Guinea. The original numbering begins in the south and follows as No. 18 - 36 the second part. In PHA, the numbering was reversed: W. 1 starts at the original No. 18 and ends at 34 at the original No. 15. The original rollers 16 and 17 were obviously not invenatrised. Short remarks are available.

            • Audio* description: These are copies of recordings from the Vienna Phonogrammarchiv, the rollers are labeled with the numbers of the corresponding records. The collection represents a selection of all records recorded by Pöch between 1904 and 1906. Handwritten lists suggest that Hornbostel compiled this selection himself. Extensive commentaries, texts and transcriptions in Niles 2000. Transcriptions also in Graf 1950. All recordings are published on the CD Wien.
