            War 1914-1918 (inventory)
            Stadtarchiv Duisburg, 50 · Fonds
Part of Duisburg City Archive (Archivtektonik)

The holdings comprise 614 files, mainly from the period 1914-1928. The files were created in the Duisburg city administration and in the responsible military authorities; they do not contain any documents from the city of Hamborn, which was incorporated only in 1929 (see holdings 16). A list of the preserved war files, drawn up in 1952, was followed, after some additions to the inventory, by a new title listing in 1974. A comprehensive indexing of the war records, the result of which is the present finding aid book, took place in 1991/92.
