Since the end of the 19th century, the legation was located at Voßstraße 10. The legation building was erected by government councillor Georg Wilhelm von Mörner. Another delivery received in 1937 was burnt during the Second World War. The largest part of the documents contains federal affairs of the German Reich, in which the Württemberg envoy was involved as an authorized representative of the Bundesrat. Particularly noteworthy are documents on the regulation of tax legislation between the German Reich and the federal states, on the war economy during the First World War, but also on economic supply in the post-war period. Particularly in the field of food supply, there is a substitute tradition for the documents of the Württemberg Ministry of Food destroyed in the Second World War. Many of the more recent documents contain large amounts of Reichstag and Bundesrat printed matter, but due to correspondence with Württemberg authorities they are not to be regarded as a double tradition of the files of the institutions of the German Reich kept in the Federal Archives.In the years 2008 - 2009 the documents were made accessible by the archive officers René Hanke, Mathias Kunz and Andreas Neuburger, the archive inspectors Wolfram Berner, Sylvia Güntheroth, Antje Hauschild and Stephanie Kurrle as well as the interns Christa Ackermann and Fabian Fechner under the guidance of the undersigned, some parts were also made accessible by the undersigned himself.
