Tectonic description: For a long time, the Faculty of Medicine was the smallest of the three upper faculties. As part of the provincial administration, it functioned as the Collegium medicum for the offices in the provincial district of 'ob der Steig' and was also responsible for pharmacy inspections as well as the examination and licensing of surgeons and midwives.
